In the subtitle for the story in last week's Review, "The way we give - and give and give," it was reported that Canadians donated $8.9 billion to charity in 2006. The figure was actually taken from the Statistics Canada 2004 Survey of Giving, Volunteering and Participating. The Review regrets any inconvenience caused by the error.
