Love is in the air – and in the wrestling ring – this Valentine’s season, as Village Theatre gears up for its winter production, Trafford Tanzi.
Billed as “a glorious battle of the sexes,” the Claire Luckham play, directed by Michael Rae, promises to go to the ropes for the audience.
Kicking off the opening weekend performances, theatre-goers next Thursday and Friday (Feb. 18-19) will be treated to a live wrestling match before the show, at 7:30 p.m.
Trafford Tanzi runs at Memorial Hall (317 Dundas St. East in Waterdown) Feb. 18-20, Feb. 25-27 and March 4-6, at 8 p.m. A matinee performance is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28.
Tickets cost $20 at the door. Advance tickets cost $18 and are available by calling 905-690-7889. They can also be purchased at Jitterbug Java Café (cash only).
