An official grand opening celebration took place at the Lynden Road facility, where dignitaries, including Ward 14 councillor Robert Pasuta, were in attendance on Jan. 29.

Then, the library hosted a community celebration on Saturday, Feb. 2, when residents of all ages were invited to check out the newly constructed facility and enjoy an array of activities, including a puppet show.

The Lynden Library, now servicing the Lynden and Rockton communities, is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 until 8 p.m., and Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The library, located at 110 Lynden Rd., is closed Fridays and Sundays.

For more information about the new branch, or for a schedule of events, visit the HPL web site.
