"It'll be a community and information meeting," Pasuta said. Like last Wednesday's meeting, property tax concerns in the wake of council's recent decision on the Flamboro Slots revenues are expected to dominate discussions.
Expressing disappointment with some of the comments that arose at last week's meeting, Pasuta said he wants residents to know that he attended the forum and stayed until it was over. He was critical that protocol was not followed and that his presence and that of other councillors was not announced to the crowd.
He also said that his efforts to convince his council colleagues to reconsider their position on the slots revenue vote have been hampered by the tenor of the meeting that was sometimes marked by personal attacks. "It seems to me, it's built up more resistance. It's backed things up."
The June meeting will run from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Farm and Home Building.
