Police seek witnesses to crash

The Collision Reconstruction Unit of the Hamilton Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in the investigation of a serious injury collision that took place on Saturday morning (May 10).

According to police, a 1997 Ford Econo Van was traveling south on Weirs Lane at high speed when it struck the concrete railway bridge on the right-hand side of the roadway. As a result, the driver, a 40-year-old Dundas man, was pinned inside the vehicle in a semi-conscious state.

He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in intensive care in critical condition.

Witnesses are asked to come forward to help police with the investigation of this crash. Anyone with information can contact Detective Constable Ellis at (905) 546-4753.
