The Flamborough Midget AA Sabres opened their regular season this month on the road, with a well-earned tie against the Caledon Hawks.

After the first period, the Flamborough squad trailed the Hawks 2-1; after two periods, they were down 4-2.

But after dropping another goal early in the third period to go down 5-2, the Sabres came to life. With a little less than four minutes left in the game, the Sabres closed the score to 5-4. With the net empty and the extra attacker on the ice, a shot from the point by Luke Roczniak found the back of the net with less than a second remaining on the clock to secure a well-earned 5-5 tie.

Last week, the Sabres hosted the Burlington Eagles, and came away with a 2-2 tie.
