Dozens of emergency personnel responded to the scene of an incident below the Vinegar Hill bridge in Waterdown Thursday afternoon.

Members of the Hamilton fire service’s high-angle rescue squad were called to recover a body from the creek.

Hamilton Police described the incident at a “confirmed sudden death.”
