“With today’s economy and rising fuel prices, the demands on our social services are especially high,” said Robert Taylor. “Our employees wanted to do something to help. Since we service homes all over the area, it seemed natural to collect a few items of canned food and dry goods.” Taylor noted that, by collecting food on service calls, the Waterdown company is making it easier for residents to help, by saving them time.
“The most significant role Taylors Plumbing is playing is in the area of collections,” he said. “Our community homeowners are generous people and more than willing to help out others when they have time. By collecting food on service calls, Taylors Plumbing makes it easy for people to help. No time is required. Plus, Taylors Plumbing is offering a discount as an added incentive.”
What items is Taylors Plumbing collecting? “We’ll take any non-perishable food or food-related items like you would find in a grocery store,” said Taylor. “This includes canned goods, cereal boxes, paper towels, diapers, and so on. We can’t take refrigerated products, produce, or meat because it might go bad before we could deliver it.”
Taylors Plumbing will also pick up food if you do not need service. “Call us, and we’ll swing by when we have a truck in the area”, said Taylor.
