A tentative agreement was reached on Dec. 7 between the Canadian Union of Public Employees (C.U.P.E.) Local 3396 and the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board.

Details of the agreement will be released following ratification by Catholic school support workers and the board.

The agreement affects approximately 775 secretarial/clerical and technical staff, social workers, speech pathologists, educational assistants and designated early childhood educators currently employed by the board.
