Peters Corners still closed following rollover

Peters Corners in Flamborough remains closed hours after a tractor trailer rolled over just west of the intersection earlier this morning.

UPDATE: Peters Corners reopens after crash

According to the Ontario Provincial Police’s Highway Safety Division, which is investigating the single-vehicle crash, the Flamborough roundabout won’t re-open until approximately 6 p.m.

The incident occurred at 7 a.m. when a tractor, holding 45,000 pounds of propane, flipped over on Hwy. 5.

According to the Hamilton Police Service, which assisted the provincial police force, no one was injured in the crash, including the driver, and there are no reports of spills or leaks.

According to police, the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 5 at Hwy. 8 remain closed. The northbound lanes of Hwy. 52 at the 2nd Concession are also closed.
