WagJag.com has entered into a partnership with Zarky's grocery store. Here, Graeme McIntosh Regional Manager WagJag.com, centre, poses with Tony Zarcone and Tony Cocchiara (owners of Zarky's).
The deal-of-the-day website WagJag.com is partnering with Zarky’s Fine Foods to bring area residents exceptional savings on groceries with only a few clicks of a mouse.
So far, WagJag.com deals have ranged from discounts at restaurants and spas to discounts on clothing. Consumers are sent a printable electronic voucher, good for the item offered.
As of Monday, Jan. 30, deals at Zarky’s Fine Foods will also be featured on WagJag.com.
“This is sort of the evolution of the flyer,” said Graeme McIntosh, regional manager for WagJag.com.
“If you subscribe to WagJag, you can see the deals everyday. Now what we are going to be doing is sending out emails once a week for groceries, Mondays at 2 p.m. You get an email and you can see a bunch of items available for pickup or delivery right to your door.”
While McIntosh said he didn’t want to spoil the surprise by giving specific deals away he did say the grocery deals will feature items that are all at least 50 per cent off.
“Groceries at 50 per cent off, who wouldn’t like that?” he said.
After receiving a WagJag email advertising the deals customers will have one week to make their purchasing intentions clear.
If enough people opt for the deal those interested will receive a voucher, which they will have another week to redeem.
Zarky’s has four locations in Burlington and Hamilton.
The partnership with Zarky’s is the latest evolution of WagJag.com, but certainly not the last.
McIntosh said customers can expect to see ‘WagJag Golf’ in the near future.
Subscribing to WagJag is free.
