Dear Editor:

Thanks to the generosity of  Flamborough schools, churches, businesses, community groups and individuals, the Flamborough Food Bank was able to provide food, clothing and Christmas gifts to  families in need in our community.

In spite of the economy, it was our most successful year in terms of donations. We would especially like to thank:

• Sobeys and Fortinos for their food drives;

• Canadian Reformed Church of Flamborough for donating the entire proceeds of their Christmas Concert;

• Norm and his staff at Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet for providing the funds for the turkeys in the Christmas hampers;

• All the volunteers who worked so hard, not only during the Christmas season but all year long.

It is wonderful to be part of a community that cares enough to help their neighbours.

We appreciate your continued support.
