I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank a wonderful and kind stranger who went out of her way to help me.
On May 21, I attended a memorial service at the Waterdown Legion for my dear uncle, who had passed away.
During the solemn occasion, I carelessly lost my new cell- phone, which had fallen out of my purse. I don’t use it often, so it wasn’t until much later that evening that I noticed it missing.
I searched high and low, but to no avail. It was gone.
I have very limited minutes on my contract, and if I go over, I am responsible for a big bill, so I was very concerned when it didn’t turn up.
I contacted the Legion, as well as many of the guests, but no one had seen it.
By Thursday, June 2, I was ready to phone the cell company and report it as lost, when to my wonderful surprise, I received a call from a very kind stranger. She reported that she had found my phone, and met me within 15 minuets to return it. I was so very grateful.
We had a nice little chat, and I was so pleasantly surprised by this lovely, charming lady. It made me realize what great friends and neighbours we have in this little town that I call home.
I can’t thank you enough for your kindness, and I wish only fabulous things for you.
