Support teachers, rights

I wish people would do a little research before they rant about something. If everyone who is upset with the teachers would simply take some time to read a little about Bill 115, they would surely change their tune.

Someone wrote in awhile ago, and pointed out very succinctly the major problems with the bill.

Sections 14-18 of the Putting Students First Act are clearly oppressive and have tones of tyranny.

It clearly states that teachers cannot use any judicial means to appeal, strike or arbitrate. This takes away their collective bargaining right and that is a human rights issue.

The labour dispute between the teachers and the provincial government has nothing to do with money. The teachers already agreed to a wage freeze last spring.

Any government that would impose this kind of will over its people elsewhere in the world would soon find themselves being invaded.

And if you support this kind of government, please move to North Korea.

Support the teachers and support all of our labour rights.
