Residents of Waterdown are the greatest!
I want to thank all the people who stopped to help me today (Tuesday, July 29), when I returned to the parking lot after being at the Royal Bank and found that I had a flat tire on my car. I could not believe so many people, both men and women, offered to help me.
Men offered and tried to change the tire for me, but the nuts were so stiff and rusty they were unsuccessful. Women offered to lend me their cellphones so I could call for help. I was able to phone Fairview Chrysler and tell them I was at the Royal Bank parking lot.
The employees of the Royal Bank were wonderful, taking messages for me from Fairview Chrysler when they were delayed because of a five-car accident. Bank employees relayed messages to me and invited me to sit in the bank, where it would be cooler to wait, and gave me cool water to drink during the two hours I had to wait.
Thanks everyone, for your concern and help. Also, thanks to Marilyn McKay for taking my passenger I had with me home.
The tow truck operator finally arrived and changed my tire for me, and I was able to proceed to Burlington to Fairview Chrysler, where they repaired my tire and put it back on. Thanks everyone.
