Youth incidents keep police busy in Flamborough

Residents report drinking, drugs and graffiti at local parks, plazas

Home and Business Entries

  • A Grandview Ct. resident reported a possible attempted entry on May 2, after discovering damage to the rear door of their home.

    Other Incidents

  • The contents of a 6th Concession East mailbox were burned overnight on April 26.

  • Suspects entered a vehicle on Ryan's Way sometime during the night of April 27 and stole a small amount of cash.

  • Police responded to an ongoing family situation on Rockhaven Lane on April 27.

  • A patron at Flamboro Slots was refused alcohol by staff and proceeded to make a scene on April 27.

  • A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from a driveway on Middletown Road overnight on April 28.

  • Staff at a Hwy. 6 gas bar provided police with the license number of a vehicle that filled up and drove off without paying on April 28. Police were able to make contact with the registered owner, who returned and paid the amount owing.

  • Police responded to a non injury collision at Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 52 on April 28.

  • A vehicle stolen from the Middlesex area was located on Norman Road by Hamilton Police on April 29.

  • An employee at a Waterdown business reported receiving a threat on April 29. Police discussed the problem with management the individuals involved.

  • A 1993 Jeep Cherokee stolen from a Sheffield Road address on April 29 was located in North Dumfries Township a short time later. The vehicle showed signs of damage.

  • Injuries were reported at a collision on 11th Concession East and Milburough Town Line on April 29.

  • Scrap metal was stolen from the site of a charity fundraising drive in Waterdown on April 29.

  • Thieves stole items from the garage of a 10th Concession West home - and the vehicle parked inside - overnight on April 29.

  • Police responded to a group home on April 29 after a resident became agitated and was threatening staff. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for assessment.

  • A patron at a Hwy. 5 business on April 29 returned to their vehicle to find it had been damaged.

  • Thieves stole a GPS system from a vehicle parked on Parkside Driver on April 30.

  • A vehicle involved in a police pursuit on May 1 was later found parked on Howard Boulevard in Waterdown. The vehicle was towed and the investigation continues.

  • A formal trespass letter was issued to an individual on May 1, in connection with ongoing vandalism at Guy B. Brown Public School.

  • Police were asked to investigate a threatening incident between two people on May 2.

  • Police were called to deal with shoplifters at a store in the Flamborough Power Centre on May 2.

  • Staff at Guy Brown School reported damage that occurred to the property overnight on May 2.

  • A group of youths were drinking alcohol behind Sobeys on May 3. When police arrived, about 12 people were still there, and several were charged with liquor offences while others cleaned up broken beer bottles.

  • Police responded to a noisy party in Waterdown on May 3. A moderate amount of marijuana was seized from a male outside the home.

  • A camera and a GPS were stolen from a vehicle parked at Flamboro Slots on May 3.

  • Disorderly youths were located in Joe Sams Leisure Park on May 4. Several possessed a quantity of drugs and paraphernalia and two people were arrested and released on drug charges.

  • Crooks Hollow Road residents reported youths spraying graffiti at the nearby conservation area on May 4. The male suspects fled prior to the arrival of the police.

  • Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Hwy. 5 and Sydenham Road on May 5.
