Representing the Milton Heights Racing Club, the boys competed in the fifth race of the season, on July 6th, at Boler Mountain in London, Ontario.

Competing in the Senior Sport Male division (ages 19-29,) Hayes was just out of the medals with a fourth-place finish in Sunday's race.

Macdonald, competing in the Junior Sport Male division (ages 17-18), took home the gold medal with his first-place finish.

In earlier races this season, Hayes placed 12th, fifth, 11th and first earning valuable points to keep him atop of the O-Cup series.

Standings

Respectively, Macdonald has placed second, fourth, third and third again in previous races. His recent win has widened his hold on the O-Cup standings.

The boys' next race is scheduled for August 10th at Buckwallow in Muskoka.
