Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding anglers and hunters to renew their Outdoors Cards.
Everyone needs an Outdoors Card, along with hunting or fishing licence tag, in order to hunt or fish in the province. An Outdoors Card costs $9.68 and the card is valid for three years. All cards expire on the same date at the end of a three-year term – Dec. 31. If your card has expired or is about to expire, now is the time to renew it, say ministry officials.
Approximately 766,000 Outdoors Cards were sold in Ontario last year. All revenue from the sales of hunting and fishing licences in Ontario is used for wildlife and fisheries management.
Outdoors Cards can be renewed online at www.ontario.ca/outdoors, by calling 1-800-288-1155 or in person at a ServiceOntario outlet.
