FUN ON ICE Spencer Valley Public School students Alicia Robinson, Jamie Filer, Corrine Robinson and Evan Chasty came out on top at the recent Timbits School Curling Championships in Ganonoque.
The four team members, which include skip Alicia Robinson, vice Jamie Filer, second Corinne Robinson and lead Evan Chasty, traveled to Ganonoque for the April 2-6 bonspiel.
The event saw 86 teams competing from all over Ontario.
All four team members are bantam curlers that play out of the Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club and are coached by members of the Bantam/Junior competitive teams.
Team Robinson faced off against teams from Welland, Nidaga Region, Blue Water District, Ottawa, Cambridge and Ganonoque, losing two games and winning four to make it to the top 20 teams at the School Championships.
On the final day of play, they won the event.
