This event, one of the premier hockey tournaments in the region, is for elite AAA hockey players from both Canada and the United States.
Noah Arsenault, Connor Ogg, Ryan Mulholland and Jared Kitteringham, who would normally be teammates, competed against each other for the tournament championship.
Arsenault and Ogg, playing for the Burlington Jr Cougars, took on Mulholland and Kitteringham on the Regional Express.
The four teammates didn't face off against each other until the championship game on Sunday afternoon, with each team arriving undefeated.
The final was a fast-paced game, with both goalies getting plenty of work as the teams pushed hard for the win.
The final score was 4-2 for the Cougars - but if you watched closely, the four Flamborough boys stayed true to the Sabres uniform, sharing the experience as a team.
Although this was the first tournament meeting for these two teams it likely won't be the last. They will see each other in June at The Ronald McDonald Championship in Toronto, the biggest tournament of its kind in North America. With any luck, they hope to square off in the final again.
