SPECIAL TO THE REVIEW

On Thursday, Nov. 1, the Waterdown Warriors’ football team ended its regular season on a high note, defeating Churchill, 38-20.

“It was ok… overall we did good,” said coach, Larry Timms.
Waterdown finished fourth in the HWIAC Division 1 standings, with five wins and two losses, earning Waterdown a total of 10 points.

The Waterdown Warriors were slated to play in the league’s semifinal match against Westdale, Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Westdale at 2:30 p.m.

“We are excited to play in the semifinals,” said Timms. “They beat us a couple of weeks ago, so we hope to get revenge.”

To prepare for the game, Waterdown had a three-hour practice on Monday and Tuesday.

“We just have to play well,” said Timms.

The Warriors are hopeful they will make it to the city championship, scheduled for next Wednesday (Nov. 14) at McMaster University.
