Hamilton 350 is hosting an information session for local residents interested in learning more about Enbridge’s Line 9 reversal project on Monday, Feb. 18 at the Westover Women’s Institute hall.
The Feb. 18 meeting will focus on the pipeline company’s plans to reverse the flow of oil in Line 9, which runs through Southern Ontario, including Westover, as well as the potential “threat to residents’ drinking water.”
Representatives from Hamilton 350, Environmental Defence, the Hamilton Conservation Authority and local elected representative have been invited to speak and respond to questions at the Monday evening meeting. To date, Ward 14 councillor Robert Pasuta, Scott Peck of the Hamilton Conservation Authority, Adam Scott of Environmental Defence and Don McLean of Hamilton 350 have confirmed their attendance.
The meeting, which is set to begin at 6 p.m., will take place at 1349 6th Concession Rd. West in Westover.
