We know you’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow when we see you walking hand-in-hand with your significant other, sharing a warm embrace or sneaking a kiss while in line at the grocery store. It’s those sweet moments that inspired the Flamborough Review to host a Valentine’s Day contest.
Starting on Thursday, Jan. 17, the Review invites Flamborough couples ages 19 and over to submit their own love story, whether it was love at first sight or a romance that blossomed over time, for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Waterdown’s The Lord Byron restaurant and have their story featured in the Review’s Valentine’s Day issue, Thursday, Feb. 14.
To enter the contest, fill out the web form below. Be as detailed as possible.
After the contest closes at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, a three-person panel comprised of Review staff will read through the entries and judge them based on their originality/uniqueness, emotion and cuteness factor.
The couple whose real-life love story made the judges most warm and fuzzy inside will be selected as the winner of the Love is in the Air Valentine’s Day Contest.
The selected entrant will be contacted by a Review reporter, who will interview and photograph the lovebirds for a feature in the Feb. 14 issue of the paper.
