Families looking for something fun to do this New Year’s Eve have to look no further than Mountsberg Conservation Area, where they can enjoy the great outdoors, nature and plenty of activities during the New Year’s Eve.
From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday, December 31, families can enjoy an evening of activities, including a wagon ride, puppet show, and a guided hike through the forest. They can also visit with one of Mountsberg’s owls or test their luck at a scavenger hunt. The conservation area’s staff will also have all the supplies guests will need to make a New Year’s card for someone special, or attendees can sit by the campfire, roast marshmallows or cook a hot dog.
The facility will ring in the New Year at 9 p.m. so families can get their younger children home to bed.
New Year’s Eve Hoopla tickets cost $24 for adults, $15 for children (ages five to 14 years) plus HST. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.conservationhalton.ca/events, or in person at Mountsberg.
The conservation area is located on Milburough Line, 5 kilometres west of Campbellville, between Hwy. 6 and Guelph Line.
