Mountsberg Conservation Area is pulling out all the stops to ensure residents have a blast this Family Day weekend.
From Feb. 16-18, Mountsberg is holding Tales by a Winter Fire, which will feature horse-drawn sleigh rides, Birds of Prey presentations, hikes and puppet shows. The event will wrap up with tasty hot chocolate and marshmallows.
Weather permitting, there will be tobogganing on the nature conservation site’s gentle slopes – perfect for kids and the young at heart.
Youth 12 years and under – or for individuals who wish they were – can take part in special activities, which they can then knock off their 50 Things To Do Before You Are 12 list, or they can opt to chill out to stories of long ago by a cracking fire.
While some activities on offer at Mountsberg Conservation Area Family Day weekend are snow dependent, the facility’s winter celebration will take place regardless of the white stuff.
