CAMBRIDGE – Two of Waterloo Region’s cultural hot spots have named finalists in the annual Ontario’s Choice Awards.

Cambridge’s Butterfly Conservatory has been announced as a finalist in the Top Attractions category, while the Waterloo Region Museum has been named as a finalist in the Small Museum/Art Gallery/Historic Sites category.

The awards, founded by Attractions Ontario, celebrate the best attractions in the province.

“We’re very fortunate to have so many great things for families to do in Ontario”, said Doug Wilson, of the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, in a news release. “To be chosen as a finalist in the Attractions Category is really exciting for us”.

Local residents will have a chance to help support their area attractions by helping choose the winners.

Votes can be cast online via organization’s website at www.attractionsontario.ca/ontarioschoice until voting closes on Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Voters can cast as many ballots as they like.

Winners of the Ontario’s Choice Awards will be announced during the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario’s annual gala, held as part of the Tourism Summit, on Nov. 21-22 in Ottawa.
