Junior Warriors launch first season

News Nov 22, 2006 Flamborough Review

Waterdown District High School now has two football teams to cheer for as the new Junior squad is now in a regular league in Hamilton District.

It has been fantastic to watch the enthusiasm and spirit of the more than 40 boys from Grades 9 and 10 who showed up vying for positions.

Head Coach Malcolm McCrae is ecstatic at how these boys are absorbing the new knowledge like sponges and showing the willingness to do the drills over and over until they get it right.

A season opening loss to MacNab High School of Hamilton didn't deter this bunch - they went on to win 7-0 over Saltfleet.

In no time this Junior team will be starting a win streak of their own just like their senior Big brothers. Stay tuned for more news and scheduling for the Junior Warriors.
