Tapping an unlimited potential

News Nov 22, 2006 Flamborough Review

Youth Unlimited will soon mark their first anniversary in operation at Waterdown District High School.

Since November 2004, Marcel Knot has been working part-time at the high school, meeting with the students over lunch, helping out with the "Battle of the Bands" and volunteering in whatever capacity he can.

During the summer of 2005, Knot worked with a number of youth bands through the Youth Unlimited initiative, Youth Wave Recordings. Each band recorded a song and all the songs have been compiled on a CD available through the high school and Marcel. A new studio is now being set up for Knot to continue his work with the students.

Youth Unlimited will be celebrating their work in the high school at their First Annual Friendship Banquet on Friday, November 4. Knot will be speaking on his work at the high school and entertainment will be provided by Phil Main. Tickets are available from Knot at 289-439-3411 (marcel.knot@sympatico.ca) or Laurie Lee at 905-690-0380 (pclaurielee@sympatico.ca) .

Youth Unlimited, Waterdown, is an initiative sponsored by the Waterdown Ministerial, and a division of Southwestern Ontario Youth For Christ.
