Former Waterdown resident Russlyn Patriquin-Dyke rode alongside the best in the country recently, at the Canadian National Endurance Championships.

Patriquin-Dyke, who now lives in Sackville, Nova Scotia, traveled to L'Ange-Gardien, Quebec for the September event with her Arabian mare, Myra, and her husband David, who handled pit-crew duties.

Patriquin-Dyke and Myra successfully completed the 50-mile ride and placed sixth across the finish line. As a member of the "Almost East" team, she was awarded a silver medal for her efforts.
