Atoms defeated by Norfolk

News Jan 25, 2007 Flamborough Review

The Atom Sabres continue to play extremely well but were defeated 4-0 by a very strong Norfolk team. Left winger Natalie Martin played a good positional game in her own end, helping to break out of the Sabres' end.

Bridget Gore stepped up her game a notch with strong forechecking, forcing a couple of turnovers that resulted in two solid scoring opportunities. Although the Sabres were unable to generate a lot of shots, they were able to contain the play in the Norfolk end for a good portion of the game.

The Sabres made a solid effort and are looking forward to meeting the Norfolk team in the playoffs.
