Get ready for Santa

News Nov 22, 2006 Flamborough Review

Now that Halloween is over, it can only mean one thing....The Santa Claus Parade is coming to town.

And the folks at Weeks Home Hardware are already counting down, with a fundraiser at the store during the month of November.

Christmas themed bookmarks are available ($2 each or three for $5 suggested donation), as well as ZILCH, an all-ages dice game that makes a great stocking stuffer at $5 each or five for $25 suggested donation. Weeks Hardware will match all donations received during this fundraiser; all money donated will go directly to the parade. All materials and workmanship are donated by the elves at Weeks.

The 2005 parade's budget requirement is $30,000 which covers the costs of bands, permits, police requirements, advertising and insurance. The entire parade committee of volunteers is working non-stop this month to make sure Santa makes his way to town on November 26.
