Freelton crews douse rubbish fire

The following information is provided by John Verbeek, Fire Safety Officer, Public Information and Education, Hamilton Fire Service:

In addition to a number of medical related responses, Hamilton firefighters responded to the following in the past week:

April 9, 5:50 p.m.: Firefighters from Station 24 (Waterdown) responded to a small grass fire on Centre Road.

April 11, 10:12 p.m.: Firefighters from Station 28 (Freelton) responded to a motor vehicle accident on Concession 11 E. Firefighters found a car on its side and administered first aid until the occupant was transported by paramedics to the hospital.

April 13, 5:09 p.m.: Firefighters from Station 28 (Freelton) responded to an electrical problem in a home on Carlisle Road.

April 13, 9:35 p.m.: Firefighters from Station 28 (Freelton) responded to a small rubbish fire on Concession 8 W.

April 14, 9:02 p.m.: Firefighters from Station 25 (Greensville) responded to a burning complaint on Oak Avenue.
