Winning big at Tim's

News May 17, 2007 Flamborough Review

Flamborough's Allison Laurie rolled up the rim on a Tim Hortons coffee and rolled away in a brand new Toyota Camry Hybrid.

Laurie, with husband Richard, picked up her prize last week in a presentation ceremony at the Tim Hortons store at the Sobeys plaza. The pair said they don't buy an awful lot of coffee, but when they do it's usually from the Waterdown location.

"Oh yeah, it's quite surprising. It's a surprise when you win a coffee or a donut!" Allison said. "(We're) very lucky, it's pretty amazing"

When asked if they had any plans for the car, Allison said they're going to be careful with it and keep it in the garage, Richard added, "We're gonna enjoy the heck out of it!"

The Lauries aren't the only big winners. Waterdown's Walter Andree bought a large coffee at the same store and rolled up his rim to find he was a $1,000 winner.
