The Accessible Transit section of HSR recently opened the doors of its Mount Hope facility to some 120 ATS-DARTS passengers and friends, who enjoyed refreshments and entertainment. The event coincided with the International Day for People with Disabilities.

"We are so pleased to observe this International Day for People with Disabilities by welcoming some of our ATS-DARTS passengers to our offices to share the cheer of the season," said Scott Stewart, General Manager of Hamilton's Public Works Department.

"It is a great opportunity to see face-to-face the folks we serve every day."

Don Hull, Director of the Public Works transit division added, "This day gives us all a chance to say from the heart that our passengers - especially those who need accessible services - are very important to us."

This is the second year for the ATS-DARTS open house. Chester the Clown entertained the guests and Santa dropped by for photos with the ATS-DARTS clients.
