Here comes Santa Claus...

News Nov 22, 2006 Flamborough Review

Families can leave the shopping behind and unwind this weekend at Mountsberg Conservation Area.

The fun includes a sleigh ride through the forest, with Santa Claus greeting them afterward. Parents can bring along a camera to capture the visit with Santa, or the park's elves can do the honour. Hot chocolate and baked treats will be served up in Santa's guest house, and plenty of unique ideas await in the gift shop. A play area and bonfire are also available for the whole family to enjoy.

As Santa is very busy at this time of year, pre-booking a family outing at Mountsberg's ChristmasTown is encouraged. Appointments can be made for this weekend, and daily from December 19-24. Call Mountsberg for tickets at 905-854-2276 ext 221 or email mtsberg@hrca.on.ca Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children (ages 5-14), and $5 for kids under 4.

Mountsberg Conservation Area is located on Milburough Line, just off Campbellville Road.

Children will also have the opportunity to share their lists with Santa and have their picture taken with him at the RBG centre this weekend (Dec. 17-18). Also, kids can create holiday stockings and arts and crafts, hear Christmas stories, participate in the 12 Days of Christmas treasure hunt and shop at the Gardens with a personal shopper and personally wrap the presents they buy. Music and interactive entertainment is also part of the fun, as well as a holiday theme brunch for children on Sunday, December 18, from 11 a.m. to noon.
