Residents can give the lasting gift of heritage this Christmas. Throughout December, the Flamborough Heritage Society will be selling copies of its local history books at the Flamborough Archives office at 163 Dundas Street East in Waterdown. The office will be open from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Members of the Heritage Society will also be on hand with various publications at Dutch Mill Country Market in Millgrove this Saturday (Dec. 17) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Available books include local histories of East and West Flamborough, individual histories on Millgrove and Mountsberg and the recently reprinted history of Dundas Street. Prices range from $10 to $35, taxes included. Funds raised will assist the Archives in preserving Flamborough's past.

The Waterdown poster, which features highlights of village history, will also be for sale. As a special service, books can be ordered from the Archives (905-689-4074), Monday to Friday, for delivery in the local area until December 21.
