The Heart and Stroke Foundation is looking for local residents to put one foot in front of the other for a good cause.

The 14th Annual Walk for Hearts is slated for Sunday, September 28 at Hamilton's Bayfront Park, and will feature music, food and prizes for those who participate.

The fun kicks off with registration and a silent auction at 9 a.m., followed by a group warmup. Boston Pizza will provide the group snack and DJ by Request will look after the music.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation hopes to raise $25,000 to aid in the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Individuals and teams can register, or get a list of locations where they can pick up pledge forms, by contacting the Heart and Stroke office at 905-574-4105.
