‘Legion of Doom’ takes a lane

News Sep 25, 2008 Flamborough Review

Last week, the Men’s Industrial League pushed ahead, but continued to be one team short.

Erick McFarlane made his mark on the night with a staggering 383 single. The Crash Test Dummies thundered through their games, and many bowlers were blown away by their speed because it’s almost like they are not even there.

So far, Hank’s Tanks, Have Fun, Barely Legal and The Stiffs are all tied for first place.

On Tuesday, September 23, a new team began at Waterdown Lanes. The all-Hanigan ‘Legion of Doom’ vanquished the Crash Test Dummies to the scrapheap from where they came.

Other notable events from this week’s bowling activity include Al Ryall winning the $100 pot and Eric Boesveld winning his first pizza with five strikes in a row.

Individuals, or teams of four to five, interested in playing are welcome to join the fun at Waterdown Lanes on Tuesday nights, at 6:30p.m. No experience necessary.
