Scrambling in front of the Guelph net, Jacob Hubbs took a pass from Pat Brennan and Justin Holmes to secure the lead by two goals. The Sabres went on to win 2-0.

In earlier games, the Sabres had a tough road schedule. The Burlington Eagles did some high-flying to beat Flamborough, 3-1. LaChappelle, assisted by Brennan and Hubbs, scored Flamborough's lone goal.

In Caledon, the Hawks clawed their way to a 2-2 tie against the Flamborough squad. Kyle Mundell and Chris Ferguson, assisted by Brennan, Brett Noiles and Dylan Leahey, scored the Sabres markers.

The Milton Maple Leafs managed a 3-2 victory over the Sabres, with Everett (assisted by Brandt) and Leahey (assisted by Alex Standen and Mundell) notching the Sabres markers.
