The kindness of strangers

News Nov 22, 2006 Flamborough Review

On behalf of Violet from Grindstone Creek Manor, I would like to thank the caring, compassionate young man who, last Friday, loaned his coat to her and took her inside Golf Fore Her on Dundas Street for warmth while he called his wife, an employee of Hampton Terrace Care Centre.

Together, they took her back to Grindstone.

Thanks, also, to the patient drivers who waited for her to slowly cross both Mill and Dundas Streets during the drive home, in rush hour traffic.

These kind acts certainly renewed my belief in the good in people at this blessed, busy time of year.

Merry Christmas!
