Novice AA hold on to second place

The Freightline Carriers- Edward Jones/Chris Ilias Novice AA Flamborough Sabres squeaked by a stubborn Guelph Storm team 2-1 to strengthen their hold on second place in their division, out-scoring opponents 58-20 so far this year.

Trailing only Orangeville, the now 10-2 Sabres ran into a red-hot Guelph goaltender. They peppered him with 31 shots before finally solving him with two late goals; the winner came with just 16 seconds left on the clock.

The roster includes Michael DaMaia, Mason Drury, Logan Zerebny, Kyle Pipe, Kurt Krappe, Justin Coles, Josh McRae, Jacob Whaley, Jacob Parkinson, Jack Foster, Hayden O’Dell, Erik Therkildsen, Dustyn McFaul, Connor Snider, Braedon McCarles, Bobby Harrison and Alex Seguin.

The team traveled to Milton, Stoney Creek, Oakville and Orangeville recently and is slated to face off against Brampton at North Wentworth Saturday, November 22.
