Tyke 2 Sabres win one, lose one

The Flamborough Tyke 2 Sabres had an up and down weekend with a loss to Georgetown on Saturday, followed by a comprehensive victory over Dundas, Sunday.

The opening period of the Dundas game produced goals from Tyler Schaap and Ryan Riggs, assisted by Ryan Dunne, Jaden Faulkner and Colby Prikker. The Sabres’ defence worked tirelessly and kept the shots on goalie Zach Dietz to a minimum.

In the second, the Sabres added goals from Schaap and Nolan Fetter, assisted by Dunne and Jacob Dietz.

In the third, Liam Passmore raced through the neutral zone and slotted home. Dunne added two more to make it a final score of 7- 2 for the Sabres. The Sabres have regained some momentum and have a 2-1 record heading into next week’s round of playoff games.
