The Novice Sabres AEs have extended their unbeaten streak to five games, after an outstanding December.

Up against Milton on December 4, the squad came away with a 3-0 shutout. An outstanding effort by defenceman Lexie Pereira resulted in her first goal of the year, with Brennan Evangelista and Jake Riggs adding a marker each in the win.

Flamborough faced off against Caledon on home ice on December 10. Evangelista and Spencer Banting each contributed a goal in the tight game, which ended in a 2-2 tie.

Hespeler was on the card the next night and the Sabres dominated for a 4-0 win. Brock Stevens, Eric Clutsam and Luc Chhina each found the back of the net, and Bradley Grightmire pulled off an awesome end-to-end rush for his first goal of the year. Netminders Nolan Walker and Jeffrey Maxwell shared the shutout - their third this year.

On December 16, Flamborough played a penalty-filled game against Milton. But their 'never quit' attitude came through for the 2-1 victory. Clutsam scored both Sabres goals.

Flamborough managed a 3-3 tie against Orangeville on December 17. Stevens was good for one marker, while Evangelista scored a pair. Banting earned three assists in the match.

The Sabres head off on a longer road trip next week, to Hartford and Boston, where they will compete against several U.S. teams. They will also be in the stands when the Boston Bruins host the Ottawa Senators. The international adventure was made possible through generous donations by local sponsors.
