After two qualifying legs and eleven divisions, the $51,300 Yule Tide Trotting Series came to a spirited climax on Boxing Day at Flamboro Downs.

Savannah Sirius made a hefty charge down the home stretch to win in 2:02.2 for owner Bill Van Katwyk of Peterborough, Ontario. With Doug Bowins in the sulky, the 4-year-old bay gelding cruised ahead of Tremendous Hit and Paul Cameron. Frosted Flakes looked strong and steady during the last half mile - including a 29-second third quarter - but couldn't hold on, finishing third for driver Jack Moiseyev.
