The euphoria of the holiday season brings forth countless resolutions. Few are kept. I make none. During the year however, I occasionally resolve action on different matters. I keep all that possibly can be kept.

Years ago, during a difficult time in my life, a priest offered this advice, "Our God is doing something everywhere but isn't doing everything anywhere--and neither should you." It was good advice then, as it is now.

My resolution for 2006, is to focus more selectively on things important and less on the trivial.

I resolve to help the community of Flamborough and provide good government for the city. I hope to keep taxes in line, so people aren't overextended, while making sure our needs are met.
