News Feb 25, 2010 Flamborough Review

It has been a roller coaster season for the Falcons Novice C team. Coming off the high of emerging as silver medal champions in their first-ever tournament, the girls faced their first round of playoffs.

Looking for victory in a best-of-three series, the Falcons made short and easy work of the West Northumberland Wild in back-to-back decisive wins. The girls played as a team, earning a place in the league championship weekend at the end of March.

But round two was not as easy. The Falcons had defeated the first-place Barrie Sharks twice before, but they were hard-earned victories. The Sharks proved stronger this time around and advanced in the playoffs.

The Falcons will be working hard during the next few weeks to get ready for finals and provincials.
