Ward 15 candidate Neil Bos has extended thanks to his campaign workers, while awaiting the results of the final poll.

"Thanks for putting your hat in the ring," shouted one supporter at the gathering at Village Fish & Chips on Main Street in Waterdown.

"It's been a great trip - let's try this again sometime," replied Bos, adding that when citizens asked him to run, he felt he had to step up to the plate.

"If it's made a small difference in democracy and encouraged people to get out and vote, then that's fantastic," he added.

After nine of 10 polls were counted, Partridge led the way with 3,026 votes to Bos's 2,408. Brian Gaspar has garnered 255 votes.
