City of Snow continues to make its presence known in the Hamilton music scene.

The five-piece Christian rock band, which recently secured the top spot in the Flamborough division of Metroland’s Best of the West battle and ultimately placed second in the competition, is set to launch its debut EP, True Reason.

The group, which includes members Austin Miedema, Bryce Russel, Scott Robertson, Andrew Hall and Dan Kikkert,  recorded the six-song CD at Brilliant Red Studios in Burlington.

The band describes its sound as a blend of indie rock with experimental elements.

City of Snow is slated to play a release show at The Casbah, 306 King Street W, Hamilton, on Saturday, April 16. Dwelt In Silence, The Next Town and Farewell Cool Reason are also scheduled to perform. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
