Peewee Hurricanes flatten Guelph and St. Catharines

The Minor Peewee Halton Hurricanes blew through the competition in January, adding four more wins to their record.

The pucks were flying against St. Catharines, and Halton came out on top, with a score of 5-2.

Michael Nicolucci scored two and was good for an assist, while Mark Jankowski put another two past the St. Catharines netminder.

Zachary Fung added a marker and an assist and helpers came from Dante Filice (2), Bryson Nicolucci (2), Brandon Clelland (2) and Robby Homewood.

In a tight match against Guelph, the Hurricanes squeaked ahead to take the game, 1-0.

The lone Halton goal was scored by Fung, assisted by Michael Nicolucci and Brenden Carroll.

OAKVILLE

The match against Oakville was also a close one, with Halton again coming out ahead by one. Filice and Mitchell Mehling each netted one goal, and Jankowski earned an assist in the 2-1 win.

The Hurricanes breezed past the Grey Bruce squad, 6-1. Brenden Miller hit the net twice, while Fung, Michael Nicolucci, Erik Bradford and Tom Byckowski each added singles. Assists went to Fung, Michael Nicolucci, Bradford, Bryson Nicolucci, Adam MacKinnon, Matteo Condotta and Clelland.
