The Novice AE Sabres' playoff season is off to a challenging start.

The Flamborough squad has faced off against Hespeler twice, with four games to go.

In a tight first match, Brock Stevens scored for Flamborough on an assist from Travis Hopkins, but it wasn't enough. Hespeler walked off with a 2-1 victory.

The Sabres turned things around in the second game against Hespeler, dominating the match through to the 7-1 final score. Spencer Ritchie and Brennan Evangelista each scored two, while Eric Clutsam, Andrew Konstantinidis and Jake Riggs added singles.

Nolan Walker and Jeffery Maxwell were solid between the pipes in both games.
